Happy Stitching

Some things I’ve been stitching since June Squam 2012:

P1070707
A gift for Olivia, stitched in Jessica’s class.

A few shots of Kate’s birthday present, the angry rooster translated from Colombian graffiti, which I began in Rebecca’s class:

P1070616

P1070612
Dissolving the Sulky Solvy (the product you use to transfer the design).

P1070620

IMG_6669
A wedding gift for my cousin Jen. She asked me to read this poem during the ceremony, so I thought it would be fun to stitch up my favorite lines, with alternating mirror-writing to add some visual interest.

P1070600
Olivia really wanted to stitch, so I got her some yarn embroidery kits from Jo-Ann for her birthday. (She’s six already!!!)

P1090229
A mystery gift (lyrics! I bet you can guess the song.)

P1070726
For Kelly and Jeff, with lots of  ♥  from Mealey D. (See Cocktails & Calico and Musings from a Beginning Quilter; proper quilt post coming soon!)

Goodness! How did that spam comment get in there?
I really liked the pieces with the lyrics and the poems. I should ask my daughter if she’d like to learn how to embroider. Maybe a summer project for us to work on together. Oh by the way, I picked up my knitting needles again and my MS too. Making good progress on both.

    I hadn’t seen the Olivia one–too cute!
I still can’t get over how awesome my rooster is 🙂

Hi! I'm Camille. I only write stories that could never ever happen in real life, though I do believe in real-life magic. If we were in the same room I'd fix you a cup of tea, but for now we'll have to settle for a virtual connection. I'm really glad you're here.
