"Just be who you are, calm and clear and bright." - Richard Bach, Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah

The most useful work there is

I just put this note up on Facebook, and I thought it might be worth reposting here. I have many more thoughts on this subject—Eric’s situation has me thinking a lot lately about “rich white privilege” and to what extent we in the “first world” take our resources and opportunities for granted—but I think I’ll leave all that for another post.

Thanks in advance for reading!

When people get indignant about deserving more (and I am guilty of this plenty), it is so absurd because the only reason that we are where we are is because of where and to whom we were born to. Wealth begets wealth–it is nothing we did or deserve. You have heard me rage about this, so I will stop, but just know that Elliot and I are supporting Eric and others should too!

Hi! I'm Camille. I only write stories that could never ever happen in real life, though I do believe in real-life magic. If we were in the same room I'd fix you a cup of tea, but for now we'll have to settle for a virtual connection. I'm really glad you're here.
