"Just be who you are, calm and clear and bright." - Richard Bach, Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah

Progress Report

P1130925
Immaculate Heart notes scrawled at the upstairs bar at the Beehive on the evening of April 11th, 2013.

(I got the two-book deal from St. Martin’s the next day. Someday soon I’ll tell you the whole crazy story about the twenty-four hours leading up to the magic phone call.)

P1130944
Immaculate Heart, polished draft printed on recycled paper, early November 2014. (Working in bed because what can I say? I am my mother’s daughter.)

You come a long way in a relatively brief period of time—you look back, gauging that distance with no small degree of satisfaction—and then you find out just how far you have yet to go. I’m aiming to get this revision done by the end of the year…

And then ask me what’s NEXT! (Besides what I’ve already told you about.)

What I don’t understand about the napkin is that you always have a notebook with you. It does look more dramatic with the stain and all than a notebook.

Hi! I'm Camille. I only write stories that could never ever happen in real life, though I do believe in real-life magic. If we were in the same room I'd fix you a cup of tea, but for now we'll have to settle for a virtual connection. I'm really glad you're here.
