Pub day sneaks up on me every time. I’m running around this week getting ready for the launch at Tres Gatos this weekend (special shout-out to Kelly B. for coming all the way from the state of Georgia!), but at some point I’m hoping to settle down to a bit of travel blogging. Thanks for your support, everyone—as always!
I thought pub day was the 4th of April! It is in the UK! It’s when we all celebrate real pubs, as opposed to wine bars which started to take over in the 1980s! Thankfully it slowed down and now there is a nice balance between wine bars and pubs! It’s a day to reflect on what MIGHT have happened had the wine bar continued to push out pubs!
Peace,
Simon
Here it is the 27th of September, Simon! And you were supposed to come out for a beer-not-wine last night and we all WAITED AND WAITED FOR YOU!
Bother, said Pooh. And he made a little hum to himself.
Once there was a party
To celebrate a book
The book was very small and nice
And could fit in any nook, (or pocket if you wanted to take it with you)
Pooh wanted to come and celebrate
But sometimes family stuff ‘happens’!
Rabbit came over and talked all night
Pooh once annoyed grumbled and got clapping.
I know ‘happen’ and ‘clapping’ don’t really rhyme
But it’s the best that I can do.
So, happiness for your brand new book
And joy from me to you.
Congratulations 👏 I’m really enjoying it 📖
